Beyond Rugby will be hosting its annual fundraiser with the help of several of the sport’s big names.
The fourth consecutive Atlantic Cup will take place at the end of May over a two-day event beginning with a golf day and concluding with a gala dinner and auction.
Serving as Beyond Rugby’s major fundraiser, the Atlantic Cup events offer the opportunity for rugby supporters to interact with big-name players. This year’s roster features a mix of 19 Premiership players including Guy Thompson, Thomas Varndell and Tatafu Polota Nau, of Leicester, Jacob Stockdale and Stuart McCloskey, of Ulster, and James Lang and Luke Wallace, of Harlequins.
The event is hosted in support of the Beyond Rugby programme, a partnership between the Bermuda Rugby Football Union and Family Centre.
The programme works within CedarBridge Academy and Dellwood Middle School to instil the core values of rugby and assist in the development of young people in the community.
“The Atlantic Cup is our largest event in terms of fundraising,” said Sean Fields, the BRFU president. “It plays a significant role in allowing us to deliver the programme to students within the participating schools.”
